USTR Issues Determination of Reinstatement of Certain Exclusions from China Section 301 Tariffs

WASHINGTON – The Office of the United States Trade Representative today announced its determination to reinstate certain previously granted and extended product exclusions in the China Section 301 Investigation. The determination reinstates 352 of the 549 eligible exclusions. The reinstated product exclusions will apply as of October 12, 2021, and extend through December 31, 2022. The reinstated exclusions are set out in the Federal Register notice, which can be viewed here. On October 8, 2021, USTR invited comments on whether to reinstate 549 previously granted and extended exclusions. Today’s determination was made after careful consideration of the public comments, and in consultation with other U.S. agencies.
