CEO, Licensed Customs Broker

Lydia brings over many years of trade industry experience to this company. With a deep understanding of logistical procedures, she specializes in efficiently moving goods from their point of origin to their desired destination, both domestically and internationally.

Throughout her extensive career, Lydia has developed a strong expertise in navigating complex logistical challenges and ensuring smooth process for individuals and corporations. She is well-versed in all aspects of the importation process and possesses a thorough understanding of customs regulations and requirements. She is adept at working with a diverse range of clients, catering to the needs of both first-time importers and experienced individuals or corporations. Regardless of the level of experience, she brings a high level of professionalism and dedication to every client interaction.

 

Lydia is a Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) and is experienced with CBP procedures, laws and regulations, Partner Government Agencies (PGA) procedures, Section 301 and Section 232 Tariffs and Exclusions, product classifications, Trade Compliance, Customs Regulations (19CFRs), CTPAT and more. She is proud to be a women and minority small business owner. Lydia is fluent in English and conversational Portuguese and Mandarin Chinese.

Steve graduated cum laude from Illinois State University, earning a double major in International Business and Spanish. He began his career with Phoenix International, a leading international freight forwarding and customs brokerage firm, where he developed a solid foundation in logistics operations, import procedures, and global trade management. Following Phoenix’s acquisition by C.H. Robinson, he advanced into a Corporate Business Analyst role, gaining valuable experience in data-driven process improvement and international compliance.

In October 2023, he successfully passed the U.S. Customs Broker License Examination, demonstrating his deep understanding of Customs laws, regulations, and trade compliance procedures. He brings a sharp analytical approach to helping importers navigate the complexities of cross-border trade while ensuring adherence to U.S. Customs and Other Government Agency (OGA) requirements.

He is passionate about helping both new and experienced importers streamline their logistics processes and stay compliant in an ever-changing trade environment — contributing to Elleo Global’s mission of providing reliable, transparent, and client-focused brokerage services.
