IMPORT SECURITY FILING (ISF) | 10+2
The ISF program, also known as the Importer Security Filing program or "10+2," was introduced by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in 2009 to heighten security measures in ocean imports. This program applies specifically to importers who bring goods into the United States via sea transport.

Under the 10+2 rule, importers are required to submit detailed shipment information at least 72 hours (or 3 days) prior to the vessel's departure from the port of origin. This early filing timeline is crucial to ensure proper risk assessment and prevent potential smuggling or security threats. Failure to comply with the filing requirements may result in penalties imposed by CBP.

We specialize in assisting ocean importers with fulfilling CBP's ISF requirements. We work diligently to ensure the timely and accurate submission of the necessary information, enabling our clients to achieve a smooth and efficient customs clearance process for their goods.

TARIFFS
Import Tariffs are additional taxes imposed by United States on certain goods imported into the country. The Section 301 China Tariffs, which came into effect in 2019, have had a significant impact on the Trade Community. These tariffs were imposed on a wide range of goods imported from China, resulting in increased costs for businesses and consumers.
The Section 232 Steel & Aluminum Tariffs, implemented in June 2018, imposing additional tariffs on imports of these goods.

If you are unsure about the recent tariff changes and whether your goods are affected, we can provide guidance and help you navigate the complexities of these tariffs. We can also assist in determining if you qualify for duty recovery if your goods are now on the exclusion list.
If you have any inquiries or need further information about these tariffs, please reach out to us.
